Ozan Fikri
Ozan (Ozzie) discovered his love of film at an early age. When he was 12 years old, his family went to a screening of Rocky IV at the George Street Hoyts cinema in Sydney, and it was here that he witnessed the first standing ovation he’d ever seen. The electricity in the room, the tears, the smiles and the incredible emotion that this film was able to evoke in the audience awakened a passion within him that is still there today. Now, thirty years on and with a small but agile team alongside him, Ozzie manages a fast paced, quick turnover production company that continues to grow and evolve as the world around him does also.
Michael CONNOLLY
Michael has had an interest in the arts from a very young age. Though he originally desired to become an actor, he decided that the best way to tell a story is from the other side of the lens. Graduating from TAFE NSW with a Diploma in Screen and Media, he sought high and low in Sydney for a good entry job, only to realise if he just turned around and looked at home in the Southern Highlands it had exactly what he needed! Since that chance meeting with the company’s director-in-chief Ozan Fikri, Michael has been integral part of Fikri Films going on 3 years. He hopes with the skills he has acquired and the connections he has made through the company, he will go on to Direct many short and feature length films in the future.
